While we continue to develop essential elements such as quality of movement and technique, this program is designed as a bridge- guiding you towards style, expression, authenticity and truly dancing the lead rather than simply following it.🔷 Because we are much more than followers. In the pursuit of doing things “correctly,” it’s easy to become purely technical. This intensive offers a “yes- and also” approach, helping you reconnect with your individuality while deepening your technique-because it’s not one or the other, but both that shape an authentic, expressive dancer.🔷 After studying the technique, some of the broader themes of study will explore both the concepts and practical “how-to” of:💠 Surrendering into full immersion and connection with your partner.

You’ll be working with local porteños/as who offer the precise challenges needed to help you grow and evolve.🔷 These assistants are either established professionals or deeply committed advanced dancers who live and breathe tango, dancing nightly in Buenos Aires. Rotating between different partners builds versatility, sharpens your adaptability, and keeps your dancing alive and responsive.🔷 At the same time, you’ll develop strong practice skills—learning how to integrate new sensations and dynamics as you work with a range of partners throughout the classes.✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦WHY IS THIS FORMAT OF INTENSIVE A FAST TRACK FOR MY DANCING?The three main distinguishing characteristics that I’d like to point out are:🔷 Technique, body awareness and foundational concepts built into a comprehensive and progressive program Start each day with a focused, one-hour session of targeted exercises designed to build awareness and stability in your axis, refine your spirals and grounding, cultivate the tonicity of your embrace and strengthen your walking, turns and musicality.🔷 The Assistants: a personalized system. Working in rotation with the Tango Assistants keeps you engaged and challenged in the best way. Dancing with different leads and follows builds your adaptability and range, while the real value lies in the personalized attention you receive. Each assistant meets you where you are, offering guidance that supports your unique development, regardless of your level.🔷 Learning and Integration . Each day is thoughtfully structured to offer the right balance of learning and practice- giving you the space to absorb new material and the time to truly integrate it into your dance. Too much information without integration can feel overwhelming like drinking from a fire hose, while practice without direction can feel unfocused. This is not about creating replicas of my dancing, but about nurturing inspired, connected dancers who can uncover and trust their own authentic expression. FOR TANGO INTENSIVO🔷 Participants in the Intensivo range from relative beginners to solid social dancers and even experienced teachers. This range is intentional and enriches the learning environment. The assistants tailor their guidance to each dancer, adjusting detail, pace and complexity so everyone is both supported and appropriately challenged.🔷 To ensure the work remains effective for all, a shared foundation is required. Participants should be comfortable with core tango vocabulary, including walking in parallel/cross systems, leading/following the cross, executing front and back ochos, and dancing giros or molinetes.
Part of the registration process entails answering a few questions about you as a dancer for me to have a better idea of where you are at in your tango journey.✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦PURCHASING YOUR TICKETS TO BAOnce you’ve registered, we will put you on our participant list and when we achieve the minimum number of participants, we will give you the go ahead to purchase your plane tickets. Once registered you’ll receive an orientation guide to the city with many great recommendations including where to stay, which milongas to go to, how to change money, where to eat. airport transfer, city tours, safety tips and of course where to buy your tango shoes! Included are also some specific gems for learning about tango off the beaten path as well as some wonderful contacts for massage and wellness.✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦REFUND POLICYA partial refund of 50% of the registration fee is available for cancellations made up to four weeks prior to the first day of the session. After this cut-off point, we are unable to process any refund requests.
If you are no longer able to attend after this deadline, you may transfer your place by arranging a suitable replacement participant. In such cases, the refund will only be issued once the new participant’s payment has been received and confirmed.
